St John Gibraltar is a national association of the Order of St John. It is a registered charity in Gibraltar with charity number 171.
Structure
The Most Venerable Order of St John has two foundations:
- St John Ambulance
which operates in over 40 countries around the world. - Jerusalem Eye Hospital
which is supported by all Priories, Commanderies, some Associations, and by the Alliance of Orders of St John
Governance
The Sovereign Head of the Order of St John is Her Majesty The Queen.
The Grand Prior is His Royal Highness Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO GCStJ.
The Grand Council is made up of:
- the Six Great Officers including the Lord Prior, Mark Compton
- the Heads of the 8 Priories and
- the Order Hospitaller
The Grand Council is supported by the Order Secretariat including the Secretary General and support staff.
The forty-one St John Establishments around the world include:
- 8 Priories
- 32 Associations
- 1 Associated Body
